How can we help you today?

Some of your staff looks younger, are they trained?

While we do employ college students, we promise every member of the Bolt Movers team is well trained. We hire individuals we trust and know will get the job done correctly. Feel free to reach out with any questions you may have regarding our training process.

Can my possessions be stored?

Absolutely. We are happy to store your items in our trucks in a secured, video monitored area for a couple of days. If you need storage for a longer period of time we can also place them in a climate-controlled facility.

Packing and Unpacking?

Bolt Movers can help with it all! We are here to assist with as little or as much as you may need. We are happy to pack and unpack everything down to the last kitchen fork. If you prefer to pack your own items we can provide packing guidelines to ensure your items stay protected during the move. We can provide boxes, and anything else you may need that’s moving related. We will tailor your move to meet your needs.

How long will my move take?

Unlike many moving companies we do not share trucks, we do not make extra stops, and your items will never be moved from one truck to another, ensuring we stay on the timeline scheduled. This is the safest, most secure, and most expedited way to move. Our team works efficiently and effectively and we will plan your move so we can complete it as quickly as possible. An average cross country relocation of a 6,000 sq. ft. home from the east coast to the west coast will follow a schedule similar to what is listed below.

Day 1: Pack boxes, prep furniture, and load if there is enough time

Day 2: Load the trucks and start driving

Day 3: Drive

Day 4: Drive

Day 5: Drive if needed/ Unload

Am I able to change my move date?

We understand the unexpected can happen, so in the event that it does just let us know as soon as possible. We always want to accommodate changes, so letting us know sooner than later will allow us to reschedule your relocation for the new timeline needed.

Can we move your plants?

Some states do not allow plants from other states, but of course Bolt Movers will do our best to include them in your relocation. Depending on the time of year, heat and cold weather can play a factor and are not favorable for all plants. As long as you know the risk of transporting the plant, we will be happy to assist with getting it to your new home.

How do I prepare my appliances for moving?

Appliances such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators must be disconnected. Washers must have a stabilizer installed or transit bolts, for front loading washers. Transit bolts are specific to each washer and this is something you will need to be responsible for on moving day. These bolts keep the drum from moving and the possibility of being dented. These bolts are more of a concern on long distance moves.
